Can I check out materials?

Yes, you can check out materials during the Circulation Desk's staffed hours. If you have any questions or concerns after hours, please send an email to library@evms.edu

Can I still access the electronic resources?

Yes. All of the electronic resources (e.g., databases, eBooks and eJournals, and other electronic resources) can be accessed off-campus via login with EVMS Novell credentials. Electronic resources are available 24 hours a day. Anyone on the campus network can access the electronic resources.

Can I request materials through document delivery/interlibrary loan?

At this time, only digital formats can be delivered through interlibrary loan (ILL), such as articles and book chapters that can be scanned. Because of COVID-19, libraries, including Brickell Medical Sciences Library, aren’t sending physical resources to other libraries. Requests for articles and chapters from other institutions will be processed daily (note that delays from loaning institutions cannot be anticipated). Copyright laws apply.

An ILL account can be acquired by filling out a short electronic form.

Document Delivery questions can be emailed to: ILLiad@evms.edu

This email will be monitored from Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
