Objectives
1. Differentiate the various drug testing modalities with respect to opioid prescription (urine drug screen and confirmations) and their utilities.
2. Demonstrate knowledge of metabolites for various opioids used in treatment.
3. Identify possible false positive and false negative urine drug screens.
4. Detect aberrancy using urine drug screens when prescribing opioids.
5. Demonstrate reasonable practice and Virginia state law regarding urine drug screens.
6. Effectively communicate with patients regarding aberrancy.
